A young taekwondo athlete who started in 2009 and revealed a huge ambition because she wants to be a taekwondo champion. She is very dedicated and committed and has managed to make her way on this sport. She is considered one of the best national athletes and a big European promise. Rafaela has been conquering a place among the best with many titles in Portugal and with excellent international participations. She practises daily in the Taekwondo Club of Portimão and has the big ambition to compete in the Olympic Games of 2020, which with the due support by sponsors, the club and the Municipality is a dream that may come true.

Testimony: “Practising a sport which is considered amateur I know the resilience of managers, trainers and athletes. It is a daily effort, but with creativity and love we can always achieve our goals. Considering the Municipality has always supported sport and because it has all the conditions to become European City of Sports 2019, I assume my entire support and commitment to this candidature. Therefore, in every national or international competitions I will give my best to raise the name of the city of PORTIMÃO real high.”
