Born in Portimão he first started windsurfing when he was 10 in Clube Naval de Portimão. At the age of 14 he started entering competitions and he was National Junior Champion with 17 and with 18. By the age of 21 he was Absolute National Champion. So far he has won 19 times the National Championship. When he was 25 he was Iberian Champion and won the same title another 7 times until 2012. By the age of 28 he was Champion of Spain and won that same title 7 times until 2017. When he was 30 he won the title of World Champion, with 33 he was European Champion, with 35 he was 3rd in the world ranking, with 37 he was European Masters Champion and again at the age of 40. When he was 40 he was 4th in the absolute World Championship. At the age of 38 he was World Masters Vice Champion and again at the age of 40 and 41. Until today it has been a career full of success and conquers.
